HEATHERS THE MUSICAL: HIGH SCHOOL EDITION is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerous new kid, J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss up to Heather… but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

Heathers The Musical Cast
Laura Alba (Heather McNamara) is excited to be a part of the amazing cast of Heathers The Musical: High School Edition! She has been a part of Black Box for four years now and some of her favorite shows include American Idiot (Tunny) and Sweeney Todd (Tobias). She would like to thank the whole cast and crew for an amazing experience and for always pushing her to be better.
Sam Cancelarich (Ram Sweeny) has been performing since elementary school. Sam's performances include appearing in numerous musicals and dramas. Recent favorite roles include Jon in Tick, Tick, Boom, Ash in Evil Dead, Woof in Hair, Dr. Parker in Bat Boy and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. Sam is an avid reader and collector of graphic novels. Sam is honored to be part of the Black Box Performing Arts Center and would like to thank everyone involved in the production.
Mayan Efremoff (Heather Chandler) is 15 years old and has spent her past three summers at Black Box while living in Israel most of the year. Her past credits include Legally Blonde (Kate), Sweeney Todd (Johanna), and a few Israeli productions. She would like to thank everyone who made this production possible and her family for all their support.
Adrianna Fenu (Veronica's Mom/Student/Officer McCord) is excited for her first production with BBS. She most recently starred as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Adrianna enjoys singing and has had the honor of performing a solo in Times Square. In her free time she studies ballet, classical voice, piano, and art. Adrianna will be entering the sixth grade this fall.
Eitan Hiller (J.D.) is super excited to be a part of this production. Eitan is entering 10th grade in the fall and has been performing with BBS since the age of six. He enjoys a good laugh and anything with a rhythm. Some of his BBS performances include: The Music Man (Winthrop), Tommy (10 year old Tommy), Falsettos (Jason), Les Miserables (Thénardier), Pippin (Pippin), and Hair (Claude). Eitan would like to thank everyone involved for helping him learn and grow as an actor.
Molly Kramer (Heather Duke) is making her Black Box Studios debut in Heathers The Musical: High School Edition. She is 15 years old and entering 10th grade at The Frisch School. This is Molly's fifth year doing musical theater. Her past credits include Into the Woods, Arabian Nights, and South Pacific at the JCC on The Palisades. Molly would like to thank her family, cast, and crew for all their support and making this such an enjoyable experience.
Devora Krischer (Ms. Flemming/Student) is a rising Freshman at Brandeis University and apologies for any time she at all implied college was easy (please karma, don't hold it against her!). She has previously performed in Legally Blonde (Storemanager, Kiki the Colorist), Little Shop of Horrors (Mr. Mushnik), and Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Ensemble). Devora would like to extend her congratulations to all the actors and tech people who worked on Heathers The Musical: High School Edition. We did awesome, guys! Enjoy the show!
Noam Miller (Kurt Kelly) is acting in his 5th show with Black Box. His past credits include A Separate Piece, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, Legally Blonde: The Musical, and Sweeney Todd. He is starting 11th grade in the fall. Noam is very excited to act in this production of Heathers The Musical: High School Edition and wishes his fellow actors the best of luck!
Jesse Parmelee (Veronica's Dad/Student/Officer Milner) is going into 8th grade in the fall at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. He has previously been in one show at Black Box, Wonderland (Cheshire Cat). He has enjoyed his time at The Black Box this summer and would like to thank Matt Okin for making this an interesting and new experience!
Sari Rosen (Ms. Flemming/Student) is an incoming senior at Teaneck High School. She has been involved in Black Box Studios for over nine years and over twenty productions. Her favorite credits include Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman/Lucy), American Idiot (Extraordinary Girl), and The Great American Trailer Park (Pickles). She has directed middle schoolers in many productions including Wonderland, Little Shop of Horrors, Zombie Prom: the Atomic Edition and more. She has also been involved in the professional aspect of Black Box, performing in Evil Dead: The Musical (Linda) and worked on lighting and sound crew for shows like The Whipping Man and Cloud 9. Sari would like to thank everyone at BBS for being an amazing second family and all their hard work!
Aviva Ramirez (Martha Dunnstock) is returning to Black Box after taking some time off after the years of performing here when she was younger. She is an incoming senior at The Frisch School where she has performed in The Mouse that Roared, God's Favorite, and Barbecuing Hamlet. Aviva loves Heathers The Musical: High School Edition and is very excited to be a part of it! She would like to thank the crew and is so proud of the cast for all their hard work.
Lola Samiian (Veronica Sawyer) is a sophomore at Academy of the Holy Angels. She has recently been in The Dwight Englewood School's production of The Little Mermaid (Ursula). More of her past credits include Legally Blonde (Serena) at Black Box, Hairspray (Tracy) at the JCC, and Seussical The Musical (Cindy Loo Who) at the Dwight Englewood School. She would like to thank her amazing cast and crew for putting on such an amazing show.
